Week 9, The Internet and Portable Computing.

 


In week 9 I learned topics such as the Internet and portable computing through chapters 21 and 23. The first chapter explained the connection concept, how the internet works, connects to the internet, uses different internet application protocols, and troubleshoots the internet. In addition, it explained remote desktop and Virtual Private Network (VPN).

The second chapter described different types of portable computing devices such as notebook computers, MacBooks, and laptops. It detailed different input devices, display types, expanding portable computers, and expansion slots. The chapter gave insight into managing and maintaining portable computers, upgrading and repairing laptops, and explained troubleshooting portable computers.

Finally, the weekly discussion was about portable computing applications, which help to understand different portable applications and their features. Overall, it was a good learning experience.
