Week 7, Troubleshooting OS, Display Technologies, and Virtualization.

 

This week the learning was informative and it discussed the common issues of an operation system, display technologies, and virtualization. Chapter 16 was about troubleshooting boot, GUI, and different application problems. Chapter 17 explained display technologies such as monitors, projectors, and headsets, their functions, components, and troubleshooting. Chapter 22 detailed virtualization, creating a virtual machine, and cloud computing.

The weekly discussion was about the blue screen of death (BSOD) and system lockup. It was interesting to know the various reasons for BSOD and system lockup, and how to identify and troubleshoot them. In BSOD, the system will show an error code on the screen, which will help to fix the issues, whereas in the lock screen we should find out the reason to fix the issue.
