Week 6, Windows Users, Groups, and permission, Operating system maintenance, and Command-line Interface



This week I gained knowledge in configuring and managing users in different windows operating systems. The learning detailed different user groups and how to set security and permissions on them. The chapter explained about NTFS file system and features. I understood the ideas of the maintenance of the operating system through patch management, managing temporary files, registry maintenance, disk maintenance, backups, task manager, MMC, and optimizing operating systems. Installing and removing software in different operating systems such as windows, macOS, and Linux.

Chapter 15 explained the operation of the command line interface, and fundamental commands, it describes commands of windows, macOS, and Linux. The FileZilla practical lab test was interesting and it gave me some practical experience. Overall this week gave me a lot of knowledge about Windows Users, Groups, and permission, Operating system maintenance, and Command-line Interface.
